bumblebee-nvidia software package provides NVIDIA Optimus support using the proprietary NVIDIA driver, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bumblebee-nvidia
bumblebee-nvidia is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bumblebee-nvidia package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bumblebee-nvidia *
You will get with bumblebee-nvidia package name, version, architecture and description in a table
